DIY Nautical Anchor Wall Art
With summer beingness around the corner you may be trying to spruce up your space with some new dwelling house décor. One great way to bring that summer feeling indoors is to add a few items which have a nautical theme! Now, the nautical theme (in general) is something that never goes out of style and ever seems to be "reinventing" itself each year. For instance, this year I have seen tons of nautical theme items that are bigger in size and are much brighter in color. However, like most nautical theme pieces of abode decor, they are a fleck pricey.
View in gallery Seeing all of these new nautical pieces of home décor (along with their toll tags), got me inspired to create my own. So today, I'grand going to teach yous how to create your own piece of nautical wall art, but for half the price!

- Wooden Anchor
- White Rope
- Red Burlap Ribbon
- Sheet
- Pigment
- Glitter
- Cream Brush
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
- Hot Glue Gun + Glue Sticks (not pictured)
View in gallery Stride one: Paint your wooden anchor white and set it bated to dry.
View in gallery Step 2: Grab your Mod Podge and apply a layer on elevation of your wooden ballast. Then sprinkle glitter on top to cover the Modernistic Podge. In one case you're happy with the look, set your anchor aside to dry. When your anchor is dry, get dorsum and add another coat of Mod Podge to really seal in the glitter.
View in gallery Step 3: Paint your canvass and gear up it aside to dry out.
View in gallery Stride four: Grab your wooden anchor and wrap some rope/burlap ribbon around it. Then hot glue that rope/burlap into place on the back of your anchor. Finally, hot glue the whole wooden anchor down in the middle of your canvas.
View in gallery Step v: Take your white rope and begin wrapping it around your canvas. Then as your wrapping, hot glue it downward into place. Once that is done, you can add more than of the rope/ribbon combination (that you used in stride four) to create a nautical type knot on the lesser of your canvas.
By doing this, information technology gives the whole piece a more than completed look and covers upward the place where both ends of your rope run across on your canvas.
When yous're done gluing your rope onto your canvas, then y'all're ready to hang upwardly your new piece of nautical wall art!
View in gallery I only loved how this nautical slice of wall fine art turned out! Personally, I think this piece would look so cute equally role of a gallery wall or in a Florida type of room.
Besides, don't forget, you lot can really make this nautical piece your own. Get creative by using different colors, different size canvases or even different types of textures! For example, you could add your wooden anchor to a burlap canvas instead of a plainly white canvass (which I call up would expect actually beautiful)!
